Welcome! I am a biologist, writer, and photographer living in the Bay Area, California. I am broadly interested in evolution, ecology, and natural history. Most of my research has focused on the behavioral ecology of birds. I also love science communication and advocating for open space, conservation, and social equity in the outdoors.
I set up this site as a home for my academic side, although I am working to transition it to more generally represent me now. Here you’ll find more information on my research, as well as tips and resources for things like finding field assistant positions or applying to graduate school. I’ll also post periodic updates on the blog, so check it out!
